ems light stays on

I jumped my r3r with a battery charger, it starts and seems to run fine, but the ems light stays on. I've also lost my fuel info..... did I fry my ems, or perhaps fuse. Help!

Last year my battery got really down during the cold Maine winter and in the Spring I charged it with my big charger. Started right up but I had the fault light which wouldn't clear until I took it to the dealer. No other problems or indications on mine though...

Mine does that as well when it is really cold. It takes a couple of good starts to clear the code.

Take it for a wee run say about eight miles see if that clears the code

Thanks, everyone, I feel a bit better about it now. Going to have to wait for the snow to melt and the rain to wash away the salt to see if it clears with a little run. Another questionis, I have a little oil seepage around the valve cover gasket, its new since I parked it this fall, in the cold assed shed. I'm thinking it leaked when I fired it up, and the block was still cold, and will likely reseal when it gets warmer. We have trucks that do that with coolant, once the motor warms up, they stop..... I hate winter

That's just sick. My poor girl was out there at -26f, like a dog. Maybe heated storage next winter

Yes, it's cold where you are. Up in Duluth a few weeks ago,I am sure it was a few degrees above absolute zero,or close to it. Just replaced my valve cover gasket. It had a small leak, no big deal. Battery died not long ago. Had the engine light on after a jump. Went out on my way home.

i know what u mean my el camino doe's not have a heater so i had to put on a vest and one glove to drive in this morning. we just have it rough don't we
