Ebay - R3 Comfort Shocks

I had Progressive 412 Standards at stock length for a few months, but they were too soft and under damped to me. If I would have went with the HD springs, I might have been happier with them. The Standards bottomed out 2-up without luggage, even on the highest spring rate setting. I weigh about 195lbs.. and my wife is about 155. They were also very wallowy (is that a word) in the curves. They are basically the opposite of the stock shocks, which might as well be one-piece steel rods.

Anyway, I saw a set of the Comfort shocks on Ebay about a year ago for cheap, and no one had bid on them, so I bought them. They are PERFECT for my riding. If you push your Rocket hard often, you may want a bit stiffer springs. I do push mine hard on occaision in the corners, but that is the only time I kind of wish they were firmer. But then again, I only have them on the number 1 setting, I'm sure if I moved them up I would get the stiffness needed. I can only hope that the new Rockets come with these shocks as standard.

For my every day riding (70 mile round trip to work with both highway and city driving) the number 1 setting is perfect. I'm sure if I turned them up to 3, they would be firmer for the more sporty riding, but I'm pretty happy with where they are at right now. They also work well the few times I've ridden 2-up and have never bottomed out. My spine thanks me for switching after putting so many miles on the stock shocks!.. lol

Do they make these for the front springs also?
