Dressed or Naked?

Years of riding has cured me of riding without a windshield and no bags to carry my gear. So I say dressed. I've had enough big bugs, bees, rocks, pieces of recapped commercial truck tires, etc. hit me in the face already and I've been caught out with out any tools, a flashlight, or rain gear on a long ride far away from home too many times in the past. I swapped out my back seat and sissy bar for a luggage rack and a rider backrest because I never ride 2up. (The wifey has her own bike.)

As for caring what other say or feel about how much they approve or disprove of my bike - I bought it for me - not for them. So it's probably best if they keep their opinions to themselves and keep themselves away from my bike.

I'm a little bit like Tumwatertaz (whatever the f#ck that actually means) saddlebags so I can stop at the shops on the way home from work, carry wet weather gear etc etc. Put the screen on when it's raining and freezin f#ckin cold .. don't really give a rats arse what anyone else thinks .. come Summer they will probably come off , like every other year

I posted this to see how many of us prefer our bikes dressed or naked. The results dont really matter but the good thing about our bikes is their versatility. For the longer runs we can dress it up to carry gear and the missuses and maybe deflect the cold win. On the other hand we can strip her down if we dont need the gear and we want to ride in the breeze and it looks and feels like a totally different bike. How lucky we are as R3 pilots? I am soooo glad I bought a rocket over a tbird. I absolutely love this bike.
