Just got my Rocket Wednesday of this week. It looks to have a K&N Air Filter and the guy I bought it from said the pipes were Mad Dogs. I've noticed that the air when I'm riding is very hot coming from the engine. Does this mean that I'm running a little too lean? It does pop a little when I let off the throttle but not real bad. I went on the DynoJet website and they don't have a map for Mad Dog pipes. I'm confused on what to do. Its a 2008 Rocket III Classic.
Buzzz,
look at your pipes real close.
If they're whitish, then you're probably a little lean.
or you could pull the plugs to look at them.
You don't necessarily need a PC3, you can do more with the TuneECU
IF you're competent enough with a computer to figure all that out.
Me, I'm not that computer savvy, so I went with the Dobeck EFI controller.
Far simpler than the TuneECU to me, and about half as much as a PC3.
