Goodday,

Can somebody tell me what I need to install to avoid the Headlight from starting when starting the Touring?
I want to use the extra power for starting up.

Thanks,

I assume that the Touring starter circuit is similar to the non-Touring models. If not, ignore the following.

The Headlights and the Starter are on the same circuit. There is a relay in that circuit that sends power to the headlight when in the normal operating position.

However, when you press the starter button, the relay transfers 100% of the power from the headlight to the starter. The headlight goes out until you release the starter button.

IMHO, having a headlight cutout switch isn't that useful. But that's just my opinion.

If you truly want a headlight cutout switch, you can start here and navigate to the proper unit for your Touring. Triumph

Lights out

I remember back in 1986, My Connie Headlight was off until starter button pushed. I would drive with my friends, hit the kill switch, roll start and sneak up on them with the headlight out. I found it also switched from high to low automatically if the high burned out. Cool.
