Dark side tyres

Saturday went for a ride with 12 other rockets, and 2 have gone the dark side (Use car Tyre) As a personal choice I wouldn't do it myself but believe me many do and prefer the car tyre for a variety of reason's. I can tell you one thing for sure both of the rockets concerned had no trouble handling the hinterland, and I assure you we were travelling at quite a good pace.

Yes one reason is the added mileage and cost savings, but several captains say they have improved handling and over all performance. You'll find a wealth of knowledge on this forum from professional mechanics, auto electricians, and not to mention some blokes who not only know about rockets than triumph, quite simply it's their passion.

The best part every member here is not just willing to share their knowledge, but in most cases if they live nearby will actually physically help you with what you rocket may need, from services, tunes to actual repair.

Whilst we all have different opinions, likes, dislikes, just as much as our rockets are different. Yes you too have your own opinion as well but bare in mind how you come across may affect the rewards you may get from this forum. My advice get to know a few captains, read a few threads that you find of interest, make informed comments, cast informed opinions, and you will be welcomed with open arms.

I tend to agree with you Mitch, I think on these forums the odd captain here & there have had the same **** that you and I were talking about at the pub yesterday. (Sat)

I put a diplomatic reply to Pete, that when read by one and all there will be no drama just a bloke that cast his own opinion, and maybe this opinion for a first post may be seen as uniformed, or worse still based on the opinion itself being the first post made has been mistaken for somebody else, that has caused dramas before.

Let Pete know we are all ok, and sadly his opinion made have raised alarm bells to some due to past events of others. Let him know about the bay trip bring him up and we can all get pissed as parrots and talk so much **** none of us will understand a bloody thing for about 12 hours.

that is why I held my tongue I was not convinced he was here to put **** on us and as it turned out he PMed me to tell me he has brother lives 5 mins from me maybe when he comes to visit he can drag you along Mitch so you can see real Paradise

I think Mitch was probally trying to use Pete to Set Us all Up, the evil little whipper snipper
 

It was good meeting Mitch yesterday, he thought as my nick name is Big Marty he envisaged I was about 6'6" tall, he was such a nice bloke he didn't say that it is because I'm a fat C**T

I can tell you Hanso you'll like Mitch top bloke, got his noggin in the right place.

I've exchanged PMs with Pete. All good. Marty's covered it pretty well. Everyone is entitled to express an opinion (even though it's been suggested to me that I can't have one on DS as I haven't tried one... ) but seeming to be picking a fight in a first post just didn't make sense to me. It looked for all the world like a set up. It wasn't. That's it.

Welcome again Pete - but without the sarcasm this time.
