Peter if thats what you saw then by all means stick with your motorcycle tires.
no one here cares what you think, especially making that comment on your first post.
And what do you ride? a Harley?
If thats the case then you do not know any better.
from a mean Canadian,,,,,,
Followed a rocket 3 with a car tyre on down from eagle heights to oxen ford in the gold coast hinterland very steep and with twisty bits this guy was two up scared me just seeing this tyre moving in this most unnatural way my life is worth more than a hundred dollars saved
So far so good on mine. I was on the fence about the darkside until I followed Rainman and STB up on the Cherohala and I watched and watched his contact patch and waited to see the sidewalls give away and the bike to get squirrely and it never did. Then I looked and read the entries from other Rocket owners with whom I have spoken and met and I have no reason to doubt the voracity of their claims to be accomplished riders that are dark side riders. I then looked at the choices of tires and inflation that members here were running. I then and only then settled on a tire and tried the low air pressure, then upped it a bit and then upped it a bit more for two up and the rest is history. I still fail to see the hubbub, it's a personal choice. I do not advocate it for all, some folks just don't have the skill sets to handle it and I would rather ride with them someday than say I can't ride with them because they dropped it on a dark side. I like it, won't change until it wears out. The combination I run is good for me. As long as I do not endanger the public at large, what's the problem? My bike, my money, my arse, and your opinions...............don't think so. This is yet another reason to ride with those I can identify with. Nice to meet ya, see ya.
Some here would probably advocate the government intrusion into all aspects of our lives hence their perpetual dislike and posting opposed to dark siding. It's our hide, ride what you ride, I'll decide what I will ride.
