I don't own an R3 yet, but have a contract pending IF the dealer can get electronic cruise control installed. Does anybody have information on the MCS4450T kit? I believe it's made in Australia and my dealer at first told me to stay away from the vacuum operated cruise controls because they had a customer come in to their shop with all kinds of problems encountered with the vacuum style of cruise. Their Triumph rep in Kansas City said they were recommending this 4450 model to their customers, but before I give the go ahead I would like to know from owners and users of this cruise control if it does work like a car and whether or not you have had any problems with it. The cruise controls I've had on my Victory bikes work great and I admit I've gotten used to having cruise and don't want to be without it especially on a touring bike as nice as the R3. My test ride had me hooked...but I need cruise! The dealer's rep suggested a throttle lock style, but I've had those before and maybe if I lived and planned on riding on flat terrain it would work, but in the Plains states (and mountains I plan on visiting) a throttle lock is more pain than pleasure. Oh, and the R3 I want is a trike (Motor Trike kit)...beautiful cranberry red and phantom black :)

Welcome @Lou Ann 53 from one of the Aussies.
I would recoment the MCCruise vacuum cruise control- they work exceptionaly well and the are designed for the R3. @Joesmoe has one fitted to his touring and loves it. I have retro fitted a Rostra Electronic cruise control to my roadster but have since removed it.
I wander why your dealer says to stay away from vac units - they are the safest IMHO

My bike had a Mccruise previously fitted. The device works really well but had a solenoid stuck, so I emailed the manufacturer and they were outstanding, answered all my questions and even sent me an owners manual. I just had to clean the sticky solenoid and it was perfect again. Highly recomended.
