Crash

This is the first I've heard of your injury, my friend, and I hope things keep improving for you!

I'm a couple hundred miles to the south, but I'll try to check in with you via e-mail and phone from time to time.

You're in my family's prayers.

Take care,

Rick

Stephan, I haven't met you my friend but I wish you the best that I can in your recovery. I have three kids living in and around Jax and may be down there sometime in the near future. If so I reach out if you are up to meeting a total stranger, (who has totaled two bikes)...
Get well and watch out for the pretty therapists, they hurt us the most.

Always up to meet a new friend... so if you are down, please give me a call and we can meet up...

Wasn't following the forum all that attentively in October and didn't see the original notice, but sorry to hear it went so bad you lost the use of your legs. Crashing badly is one of those risks we take to ride, but it's never fun when someone's number comes up. Hang in there, and I hope you and the doctors both get proven wrong on the paraplegic thing. Thanks to human ingenuity we make strides every day in medical knowledge.

The first big hurdle was knowing you are alive. Second you can use a keyboard and have this community for support. Third, welcome to the Hydrocodone way of life. Get well. If assistance is needed with any middle aged nurses just call or PM. Young nurses would put me in the bed next to yours.

That is not a happy picture brother. I hope they can work this out. I know the doctors know a lot but sometimes we can pull off more than they think we can. Mine told me I could never do another push up or even think about a pull up after he put the prosthetic in my left arm back in 2009. I can now not only do those but am climbing the rope with the younger guys on the team. Hang tight and never give up brother.
