Coolant and overheating issues with 2014 Rocket 3

pouring water into a hot motor it will start to boil and come out with force u have to let it cool down then pour in until full.
Yeah I added coolant when engine was cold and started it and had a mechanic friend with me when we did it … he also seemed convinced there was a compression issue . It’s joked as well about 30 second in .

i am unfamiliar with the term joked
time to do a compression test.

So you were correct about the fan issue . Mechanic has now fixed and bike seems to be operating normally . Much appreciated advice and am having a full service on all fluids done whilst mechanic has bike
What causes the fan issue? Was it the relay causing the fuse to blow or something else?

I'm having a similar problem with my roadster

You should post dealer name so nobody ever patronizes them

When filling up the coolant you need to make sure the bleed screw is out and fill till it starts burping coolant . You can download the service manual on this forum. Unless it's a Triumph dealer they may not even know about the bleed screw.

I had a fan issue about a month ago, checked the fuse first and it looked good so I tried everything else starting with the relay, to running a direct wire from the battery to the fan. (had to take a lot off stuff off to get to that plug). Nothing worked! So I started over and it was the D** fuse!! Lesson learned: do a continuity test across the fuse! I only looked to see if it had burned, and missed that!
You can check out the "What did you do today" thread and there's lot's of help from everyone there on my issue with that.

Hey! Where is the bleed screw. I have the manual and it shows it just above the water pump drain plug, but mine is not there?????

Thanks …. Den
