Considering purchase of 2010 Roadster

GyroBob,
Personally, I would hold out for ABS on a later model year. It is a GREAT motor!
Also as stated already, do the Eastern Beaver ignition bypass.
Then you should . . . . . . . . . .

One of the things I like a LOT about the Roadster is the location of the footpegs,.. how they are moved back a few inches to a less cruiser-like position,.. something more like the "standards" I grew up with.

Is it possible to retrofit a standard Rocket III to a Roadster configuration?

The guy with the Craigslist ad for the 2010 Roadster is not answering any emails. So,.. I suspect the bike is sold, or he is not checking email, or or or ,...

Now I am on the lookout for another Roadster.

WTF......All roadsters have ABS
I have 2010 R3R with ABS:kk:

G'day Bob , Welcome .. Roadster pegs can be retro-fitted onto a earlier model Standard, parts needed are expensive if bought new from Triumph. I was quoted $2,300 AUD for the parts alone. Lot easier way would be to find a good fabricator/welder and have the Standard rails cut and the pegs moved back to where you wanted them. There is also the seat , Roadster seat is higher and the rider sits more forward than earlier models. The Roadster seat will fit onto a Standard.

I have been seeing references to Raask rearset kits for the Rocket III. Are they a reasonable solution?

No thanks, Amigo.
I have conjugal distrust of men using women's names . . . .
I was under the impression ABS came "standard" after the 2010 models.
Could be incorrect - just a drongo after all.

Raask products were popular a few years ago but can't remember anyone fitting them recently .. think they are well made. Raask made a few bits and pieces for Rockets but like the adjustable footpeg rails and rear-sets .. just can't remember anyone using their parts lately.
