Posting in case others might make mistake I did.
Directions on cheap scanner said " turn ignition to position II. ( don't have to start engine).
I assumed this meant toggle switch up lighting dash and lights, not down to start bike. Wrong! Must hit start switch once, the primer sounding.
No more wrench!
