Does anyone know of a clear flyscreen available for the rocket at a sensible price? I DON'T want a coloured, tinted or glassfibre flyscreen and the normal screen (no matter how small) is a bit too "Harley" for me with the chrome strips running across it.
Also, I find the standard foot controls too far forward, I'm presuming the roadster footrest rails that foot position back are just bolt on for the standard rocket?
I'd heard of a "kit to fit the standard rails and move the position back. Anyone heard of that?
Thanks, any info appreciated

Simon

You'll need the entire roadster foot rail set-up. Need to re-bend and or get brake line. There is another recent thread about this same subject, but the opposite desire. There are some Roadster buyers who are looking for more forward controls.

Triumph does have a sport screen that resemble s the fly screen but of course nothing from Triumph is cheap.

i have fitted roadster rails to my r3 , 1hr including bleeding the brake. don't know about the conversion kit i just bought the complete set of a guy that had fitted forwards to his roadster. if you do it this way all that you need to do is carefully re-bend the brake pipe to take up the 61/2" difference. nothing is the same off the roadster, the master cyl.- resovoir-pedals-footrests and all the gear linkage and even the rails themselves are bent different, but they do use the same mounting points. so if you want the easy option make sure you get the whole shooting match when you do the deal. alot of people seem to think they moved the footpegs by 4". i have carefully measured and trust me its 61/2".

It's the same situation switching from pegs to boards using either Triumph parts or swapping them out with another bike. Standard pegs to Classic boards and vice versa only require slight bending of the brake line, not enough to warrant opening the system. But it's not 6 1/2 inch difference like on the roadster.
