Cleaning pipes and brushed stainless

Hey Guys,

Looking for advice, best practise and substances to use to clean the pipes, heat shield, sissy bar mount etc. I have heard people talk about WD40 to maintain but I have some tar and grime on these areas and want them cleaned.

best practices, not sure about that but I’ve use 0000 steelwool. you can add autosol/mothers polish when needed. definitely not best practice…

Using steel wool is ok but it's embedding iron into the pits of the chrome forcing it to rust.
You want to use a metal polish. Any will do fine. The old coke and aluminum foil works well but all these old methods are lacking the desired effect. Just get a good metal polishing compound for the metal type you want to clean and put the work in.
