Okay so... I have the Standard R3. My handlebars got tweeked and well... I have to replace them. So I'm thinking about going with the handlebars that areused for the R3 Classic. I like them wider and pulled back a bit more.

I noticed that the kit includes "Hoses and cables". But what I'm wondering is if they are easy to do it yourself or should I get them and then take it into the shop?

Has anyone done this particular mod? and if so, was it simple enough to DIY?

Alternatively I'm wondering about the Thunderbars found on newr3.com The problem with those is I won't be able to use my WIndvest on them.

thoughts?

Karl, yes it's a simple mod.
you can do it without any difficultys I can think of.
I think there's only like 1/4" difference in the lenght of the cables,
so you could probably get by without swapping them out if you wanted to, by just rerouting them.
Don't know about the thunderbars.
