Anyone who says a Rocket don’t handle, wether it’s a Series one or the latest ballistic missle, is talking out of their arse!
I own/owned two series ones and I’ve always said a bike this size, “has no right to handle as well as it does”! Many times I pissed off sports bike riders thinking they’d leave a Rocket for dead in the twisties!
A decent set of rear suspenders and tyres does help though!

Better the boot touches down before the peg. Shows how capable the chassis is on the R3. Plenty of sports bikes on the road with bigger strips than that.
On my Kawasaki H2 SX SE I have no strips and I ride Rocket almost the same lean angle but there are still some strips on it. I am not sure if it is possible at all to get rid of them on the Rocket.

This is one of the dumbest topics in motorcycling because it's all about ego and fear of other riders opinions. With my Exedra Max on the rear I get use of pretty much all of the tire while the front Cruisetec doesn't even come close. Here and there my boots and occasionally pegs will scrape but I'm not aiming for that, I just ride how I like. There are plenty of posers on youtube who will take a scotch brite pad and work the edges of the tires until their egos are satisfied.

Come on @Protonhound, I am just joking, I know that video long time ago and I agree. And by the way I was very fast cornering, no worries :D . Unfortunately we live so far away so we can't ride together (fast or slow, it doesn't matter).
