The last couple of times I've parked my new bike, I've noticed a small puddle underneath it. Appears to be coming out of the battery overflow hose. Is this normal ?
Planning to do an Iron Butt ride this wednesday....hoping this is not a problem.
Isn't the battery sealed? On the standard Rockets there are three vent tubes, one for the coolant overflow bottle and two for the gas tank. Every once in a while I'll get a couple of drops out of one the gas tank vent tubes. Next time wipe a little up and see what it smells like.

Will do. Thanks. I filled the fuel tank today and rode 7 miles home. Noticed it then. Maybe it is gas. Black tank in the sunlight heating up.....tank just topped off w/ fuel. Will take a whiff next time it happens. For some reason, I'm starting to feel like a dumba$$.
Thanks again.
Honestly I don't know if the R3T has a puke tank but I wager it does have a radiator overflow/reserve tank. When the heat gets too much it's not unlikely that one might puke a bit.
I run a mixture of a water wetter solution and a tad bit of anti-freeZe, in the winter. Anti-freeze does raise the boiling point and having a lowered ratio of water to boil-over additive might cause a bit of spittle. According to the manufacture of the water wetter I use, a proper ratio of their stuff and distilled water will greatly decrease the operating temperature of a engine. On the oil temp gage alone I see a 10-15 degree temp drop in the hottest days of summer.
I'm wondering whether I'm having a thermostat issue.
My bike, when it's left in the sun, (R3T) spits a little fuel and or oil (mostly fuel) from one of the two drain hoses near the kickstand. Could it be the other hose is a crank case vent?
