CES Header with footboards on standard Rocket III ... don't fit :(

I can see you’ve talked yourself out if it, which doesn’t worry me at all.
However, you can see it was probably just as close on mine. All I had to do was bend that flap in so it didn’t rub or rattle on the pipe. If you don’t sell it might still be worth a try.

 
OK, I see what you mean now. I'd have to bend the top up slightly and the inside flap in as well as bend the reservoir tab out at least 2cms. I might have another look at it.

Already put the stock header back on now so I can ride it.

Still, if someone wants to buy them, I'll sell.
 
Wow im surprised it doesn't boil your brake fluid with the heat from the exhaust!!!
 
I assure you it didn’t, and I rode 10s of thousands of kms with it like that, sometimes in very hot conditions and in stop/start traffic.
And besides, it’s only the back brake. Hardly used it.

Hardly a surprise - Dry Boiling point of Dot4 is 230°C - pop in Dot5.1 and you'll have another 40°C covered. The reservoir would melt first!.
 
I actually toyed with the idea of a metal reservoir, and had one on standby, but had been told by wise heads I’d have been wasting my time. They were right.

Exactly the same problem with my Zard headers, obviously designed for a roadster ,but a few spacers on the cylinder and cover gave enough clearance and wrapped in my wife’s cooking foil for good measure!
