Hi All

thanks for the welcome. I have a question on fitting a center stand on a R3T, has anyone done so or is the bike to heavy to haul onto stand. If you have fitted one how is it and where can i locate one. Thanks

At the time of the last discussion on the topic, there was not anything available for the Touring, Rivco's part fits only the Standard and Touring. Flips paddock stand is an excellent choice for cleaning and storing.

I have the Rivco part on my Standard, and yes it's such a beast to use that it requires the use of a hand strap connected to the frame under the seat to pull it up onto.

hi hellfire

see you are into minis as well, we got a cooper s
It's a 2002 S, with Big valve jesus cyl head, cams, custom header/exhaust, polished 12% reduction supercharger, Helix air box, water intercooler, and more ... putting down 225HP at the wheels. Just retired it from SCCA Solo in D Street Prepared. It only gets 19MPG now, but still makes a good daily driver. It's been a great car.

So it's bog standard like your bike.

I had a 1275 Cooper S in the 70's. Boy did that thing fly (for it's day). The only "extras" were a set of mags and a couple of thin black stripes down the bonnet - and maybe the radio wasn't standard.

It would probably be easier to get a Mini up on a centre stand than an R3T.

Would love to get a real English MINI in top condition and a Toyota FJ to replace the '02 Cooper S race car. Now that would be fun to have an old one to "carry around". LOL
A theft deterrent system for one of those little old MINI's would be a luggage handle on the valve cover.
