Wanting to know if the TPS is connected or did they disconnected it when Carpenter kit was installed?
My 240 hesitates at start up when warm, it coughs and spits for a few seconds and sounds like a cylinder or 2 disconnects, then a second later it stabilizes, i can smell raw gas while is doing it.
At first start up in the morning , it starts fine, is just when i shut it off and start it after riding for a while.
At RAA Harrison 2 days ago, @Rocket Scientist felt around the TPS and he said it did not make any noises, like it was disconnected or dead.
I called Carpenter and i left them a message, waiting for replay.
Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!
Lupe..

TPS is definitely in use, it's the idle stepper motor that isn't working or Carpenter turned it off in the program.

The tps does not make noise
you should be able to see stepper motor working when you turn on key/ignition. you can hear secondarys but they may be 100% or gone.

I held onto the stepper shaft, and turned the key off and on a couple times. You should be able to feel it home. It didn't move at all.

Wouldn't think that would happen, would lose all engine management. Look for bad wires, fouled plug, vacuum leak, etc..

probably a different girl might oh never mind.
On mine I disconnected the link and stored in toolbox about three yrs. ago. I'm talking about the stepper motor. I put the link in the toolbox and left the stepper motor attached to the bike, doesn't set any codes this way.

I realize this is a few months ago, but did Carpenter reach out to you, or were you able to determine the cause of the hesitation/spitting? I'm planning on shipping my '16 roadster to Carpenter soon for the 240 build, so curious if it was something they did.
