Probably the most definitive site on the subject:
The Dark Side
I have that same Cooper 2XS on my beast. I love it! Not the first pic but the one with the oem tire against it. I went with the 225 for the best overall match for my 07 TourER. I'll likely go to a 205 Eagle, if they're available, the next time around. In any case there's more ground patch, with a dark side, to put applied torque into forward momentum.

Hey HeR3tic,

You have the classic tourer, right? We are talking about the new 2008 touring model. We can't put a 225 on our bikes w/out modification. We normally run a 180, so a 205 is a lil step up for us.

Wait until you try it in the rain! I had the Goodyear on 2 Suzuki VL1500's. Loved them.
Glad to see someone has mounted one on the R3T.

That tire sure looks narrower than my Riken Raptor 205 60 16. Maybe it is due to the angle of the photo or the bags are larger than mine but I don't think it is. Looks almost like the stock tire.

I just did the Assurance Triple Tread 205/60-16 yesterday and have about 80 miles of pretty aggressive roads and surfaces on it.. Started at 34 pounds and felt a bit squirmy but I got used to it.. Liked the increased traction and noticed that I had to body steer more to get it to change and hold directions (good practice for me)

I did have one MAJOR issue (by my standards) when entering a highway I gassed it coming on to the highway and as the bike hit the camber of the left lane, there was a pretty noticeable oscillation at 80mph while still healed over.. Felt like the beginning of a tank slapper but with the rear wheel.. The oscillation didn't get worse but I HAD to gently back down and the oscillation stopped around 65.. The bike handles straight and true at high speeds on the highway, not sure what caused this though..

I'm NOT going to give up on it yet and will experiment with pressures (front and rear) to see if this "symptom" goes away.. To be honest, I wouldn't want an evasive swerve turn into a crash due to the different dynamics caused by "surprise" handling issues..

Has anybody else noticed this symptom??

Put more air in the rear, you are flexing...

I am running 38psi in the front and between 40-42psi in the rear.

That was my suspicion and I already set it to 38 for the next ride.. You had to go 40 in the rear?? Did that make it turn in easier too??
What front are you running??? Next will be an Avon front.. God I can't stand those Bridgestones, the rear was REALLY cupped at 3,800mi (Pressures checked often and held at 42psi.)

hey dave,

like I said on the other site, don't know if you've viewed it yet...
the reccommended pressure is 42 or 44 on this tire. I'm running at 40 and it rides good so far
