Car tire on R3T

Has anyone put a car tire on the R3T?
I am thinking about it, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has done it on the Tourer?

Since a number of Valk riders went to the darkside, there should be no reason why an R3T couldn't.

Be the first on your block. Tdragger made me put one on my Classic, but I like it. It's nice to not leave a trail of $300 rubber behind you.

It looks like your biggest problem is going to find a darkside tire that will fit. I'm not seeing sizes available that are comparable to the stock 180/70R16. I searched 175 and 185 series tires and there wasn't many results.

yeah, I couldn't figure out what to use, I'm open to suggestions...
and if I don't, atleast my tire is only $150
but ****, that wide flat tire looks good...
wish I could even go a size bigger, but I don't have a clue what would fit

can you get a measurement of the space between the swingarm and the shaft drive?

Once you do, you can go to www.discounttire.com and they have a tire size calculator on there that you can check widths.

Have a look at the Goldwing forum HERE..
The tires mentioned there are normally run-flats in 195/55-16.. (About 1" smaller in diameter) I was considering a 205/60-16 but am concerned with the swingarm clearance....

i have a few thousand miles left on this set, when I do change it out, I'll let y'all know if i go darkside.

Ok guys.... I took some measurements... It looks like I have 1 inch (aobut 25mm)between the edge of the tire and the driveshaft..., that's 1 inch each way (50mm) till I scrub... the stock tire is a 180/70/16.. If i put on a 205/70/16, that still gives me a half inch (25mm) each side before I scrub... does this sound right? If I do this, I get a wider tire, but I don't have to modify anything else....
I'm not a mechanically inclined individual, so all opinions are very welcome...
