Haven't uploaded a tune. I have contacted tune master hanso and I'm waiting on something. I think a tune for Ramair and tors would be about the same.
Mittzy, I've only made one run up the the gears and back home. It sounded great to me. It rained all day yesterday so no ride at all.
 
Its really a good idea especially if you want to open her up more Then TORS yet retain the stock look. Do you have any pictures of the innards? Just looking at a cleaner way of cutting her apart possibly to save the chrome? The big end would be nothing to trepan out and leave a clean hole of what ever diameter you chose or would work out the best. I am trying to figure out what the bluing in the middle of the pipes are from and a way to machine instead of torch like you used. ( I have a milling machine I mess around with often)
Great idea though.
If I remember right Elena Myers raced a Roadster on the salt flats had a modified stock exhaust much like what you did to retain the looks.

I did not take any pictures of the inside before starting to cut it out. The front is where the catalytic converter is. Looks like a bunch of coffee stir sticks stacked together. Then 2 more chambers with offset piping.
In retrospect, it probably could be cut with a torch if the flame end was on a long extension. I just used a normal torch. If you ran cool water over the outside while cutting the inside and took plenty of time I think it could be done.
The milling machine is definitely another option, but holding without bending would be a huge challenge. The inner workings are of substantial material and the cat is a problem on its own. I mostly removed it by hand, very difficult.
I believe this probably opens up more airflow than tors, but aren't they open pipes too?

Yours will flow a lot better than Tors.
 
Finished project. I decided to try high heat header paint on my exhaust. So after a thorough scuffing of the chrome pieces, I sprayed primer and paint. Then did 3 heat up cool down cycles. I didn't want all black which is why not all pie ces and bolts are painted. I'm very happy overall with the project. For now the ceramic paint seems to be durable. Will have to see. I like the look, the sound and the power it unlocked. (After the dyno it was 132 hp 155 tq)
 
WELL OK so the stock HP was 125 and you gained 7 HP that seems like a lot of work BUT good as long as your happy with the results
 
You are exactly right @IMFASTTOO, 7 hp and approximately 30 tq. Also black with a great sound. For about 100$. With the bonus of getting to play in my shop for a couple days creating something no one else has.
You don't get that feeling out of a box. Especially when comparing hp/tq per dollar. Name any system that will beat those hp per dollar numbers. Including coating. So yes, I'm very happy with my project.
