Went out for a meal and a blast with the wife, only did 50 odd miles, but coming home about 2 roads from home approaching a "T" junction and no breaks what so ever, the lever pulled right in!!!

When I got home the front discs were very hot as expected, I have Les' calipers coming but will be riding the twisty Devon roads next weekend is there anything I can do (except braking less) to prevent this from happening? :?

Billy - let me know when you're likely to be down this way and I'll keep off the roads.

Kidding aside, we have enough road deaths down this way, mostly sportsbike riders overcooking it on the narrow twisties, and meeting up with 4x4s, granite walls and/or barbed wire. The rule for cornering here is slow in and fast out, and keep an eye on the vanishing point (no offense I know you're no fool). And watch out for sheep on Dartmoor - they like to sleep on the warm tarmac. But the lanes are fun at any speed.

I believe it's the start of the Paignton Bike Festival next weekend. I'll look out for you.

Def get that brake sorted - there have been lots of posts on the front brake problem. Good luck.

Dog might be right. If you had a little water in the brakefluid then you can get a problem too. I had a fading rear brake downhill in the alps. After cooling down brake worked as before. I had the fluid and the pads changed, no worries after that.

BTW, the discs get hot very quick, on 'good' brake action will make em hot.

Just had the brake fluid replaced last week due to the spongy brakes, that and it had been in there since new... Les I love you, but hate those pipes mate
