Went for quick rip the other night and had the temp light come on. Coolant level was very low. Topped it up and turned the bike over, pushed all sorts of steam/white out the back and now wont start. Nice puddle of coolant sitting on the floor today coming from the header/x-over pipe union. Guess this explains my low compression on hole #2. Going to do another comp test but doesnt look good.

Send your thoughts and prayers. Gotta talk the wife into letting me buy an '08 that's local to me. He started out asking $8K, now wants $6500 and gone by xmas. I offered $4k today, he came back at $5k. Lots of aftermarket parts on it. Might be best to just keep this other one as a parts bike. But I'm cheap and dont know if the wife will spend $4k-$5K on a more comfy rear seat.

Buy that bike then ask for forgiveness - Works for me.
Then work on the non runner as a project bike - to learn and possibly sell once your finished.

Nope. Fixed the bike I had. Did a head gasket on it. All good to go now. Also got all my registration sorted out and bike is in my name now. Just waiting for the snow to go away.
