Best Way To Stop Brake Squeal?

Squealing is caused by vibration. Vibration is going to be caused by the disc surface being uneven. First clean them with some serious brake cleaner. If that doesn't do the trick, abrade them to file off any burned-in brake pad bits and to smooth them out some (which has already been said, but still.)

Hanso, which grit do you recommend for the pads/disc? Aluminum oxide? Silicon carbide?

will all this work on my wife when she squeels?(wait that's giggiling)

That depends, is her surface uneven and covered in ground-in brake pad bits?

which ever you have handy as long as it bites in but not to coarse, I use a circular motion or across the direction of travel but what I should have mentioned before is to also give a liberal spray of aerosol brake cleaner to make sure there is no residual particles on the surfaces of both the pads and disks, personally I use 800 wet and dry with straight water first then a use plenty of brake cleaner spray can just to be sure

My 2011 R3T's front brake functions well but squeals loudly. I had the pad replaced a few months ago then later had the brake re-checked and cleaned but it still squeals. What's the most likely cause? Thanks.
get rid of the pig trapped in front of the radiator...
