I can assure you it won't be anything like your Indian Bobber. Just be careful your right wrist isn't writing checks your body has to cash. Your Rocket is a cruiser feasted on steroids and adrenaline.
Lovin my 2025 3R Storm, now with 11,000k on it, awaiting summer to return. Recommend at least shoulder height windscreen (PowerBronze for me), quick shifter, heated grips (if you ever ride at 15°C or cooler), and saddle bags (if you tour or do extended day trips). Though nothing beats the bare bones stock naked look of the R. Get used to people stopping you to talk about the bike, as there are very few seen on the road in most cities.

Hi I’m already weary of my first trip just hoping it’s more comfortable than the Indian, which looks fantastic but is uncomfortable as hell after around 30minutes

I have a Triumph Bobber Black. It too suffered from lack of suspension and comfortable ergos. I got the suspension corrected with a rear shock upgrade ($580), fork emulators with better springs ($1350), a custom gel seat ($400), and ergos fixed with forward controls ($650) and now it's all day comfy. Your new Rocket won't require any of that.

I've done 2,600 km, Winnipeg to Calgary (Canada), and back, 5 day trip, with saddle bags, heated grips, and mid windscreen. Stopped every 2 hours or so for gas (range not the best), and found it pretty good on this 62 yr old 5' 10", 175 lb. (32" inseam) carcass. Temps were 25 to 34° C., no rain. Slight lean forward, bit weight on hands/wrists, neck part prone upward, leg room good, cruise control great. Rode Indian Scout this summer with forward pegs, was not comfortable.
When people ask you the size of the engine and are startled as to how big it is, often they will comment, "That's a car engine."
Remember to to give them this response. "No, Car engines are smaller now days."
