Auxiliary lights on R3T

Hey all. I looked around online but can't seem to find my answer and my owners manual doesn't seem to say.

What wattage are the factory auxiliary lights? Had one burn out already. My local parts store has 55 and 100w bulbs but these seem high to me. My Kawasaki voyagers auxiliary lights were only 35w. Or would 55w work? Looks like I can get a sweet deal on some PIAA bulbs (friends son works at a speed shop) but they are 55w as well. Really only turn them on so others see me, as I don't speed any time on the highway at night, but the price on the PIAAs just make them a nice deal. I'd even put some amber ones in there if they exist.

Ok so, my original question still stands, however the aux light is working again. It had quit briefly about a week ago, so now looks like an intermittent problem. Any ideas? Worked perfectly fine on the ride home tonight. Road had a few bumps, so not sure if a bad ground. A bit annoying.

I had to replace a bulb a few years ago, sorry all I can remember is it is a H3 bulb. It may well be a 55W. Before you go chasing an intermittent electrical problem just replace the bulb. It is possible that the filament is broken but does not have a piece missing so that when you hit a bump the ends touch and they provide enough of a contact to "weld" itself back together enough to work. When changing the bulb remove and replace the one you are taking out several times, it will help clean up the contacts on the plug, just in case you have built up some corrosion on it.

The "T" I'm not sure - but the Standards are indeed an H3 55W. But with a twist. Triumph hardwire the buggers so there is no easy plug&play replacement. You have to get inventive. I hope "T" are easier.

Touring aux lights are easy, it is a standard H3 plug.

Factory is 35 watts don't go higher you'll burn upthe wiring or melt the h3 connector or both!!
