Anybody with a RIII Touring have trouble with the Auxiliary Headlights?
I just got my speedo replaced b/c it worked only half the time...now it's awesome, no problem.
However, 1 of my 2 outer headlights went out. I got a new bulb and it seemed to work fine, for a day or 2. Now neither of the outside lights is working! I flip the switch and nothing. So I know it's not the bulb b/c I just put in a brand new one. ANyone have this problem. It's a pain in the arse to go back to the dealer and deal with the warranty!!! Fishbein 8)

Do your self a favor and recheck the bulbs first. bulbs do fail together and new parts are often unreliable. At the airline we call in high infant mortality. A couple of months ago the back lighting on my clock and fuel gauge went out at exactly the same time , it took me 3 days to figure out I needed 2 new bulbs. To make matters worse it wasn't the first time I had seen that. My old ford truck blew both low beams at the same time.

Seen it several times at our dealer-both aux lights go at the same time. PIAA's work very well as replacement-no issues with 4 riders who have had this happen.

OK

I have one extra PIAA so I will try changing the bulb, but something's wrong if 3 bulbs go in 2,600 miles, don't you think???

I'm not sure what you mean but the stock bulbs in the lightbars and such are not of a high quality. We see tham go out on a regular basis at low mileage. PIAA replacements, while expensive, have had zero issues for us.

The aux. lights are grounded by the shell so be sure to complete the circuit if you test it.
