auto tune for 2005

I have an 05 and it looks like the power commander 5 isn't compatible. I thought the ecu was the same?

It is compatible. They only list 09 and up for the V, but they work just fine on the older models. Several of us have them on pre-09.

It is the same and the PCV will work on the earlier bikes even though they list '09 onwards

I have PCV/AT on my 2006, and it works fine. Get tunes from Hanso for the PCV and also for TuneECU. The TuneECU will get the bike very close, and the PCV/AT will adapt the fuel mixture for your bike, its mods, and your riding.

Yes as above. I am just fitting PCV and AT200 at moment. I think they say its not compatible to try and clear out their old stock of PCIII's.

Makes sense. Anybody have one and not happy with results? My plan would be to let it manage everything and keep my canned tune on the ecu.
