Know what you mean Mitch , yesterday was complete opposite though. Staight up highway into Murphys Creek. Then to Toowoomba clubhouse , there for hour and half and straight back down the highway .. all at 120-130 kph. Wasn't much fun!!! ... Bruce i'm usually up for a ride , just got to get sorted for the wedding.
 
Yea no worries I know we all lead busy lives with kids, wives, work etc.I was just at a bit of a loose end with a fuelled up bike. Went to Esk for a ride with 2 mates think I got done by a speed camera .

Gotta agree with you guys onthat When I stared the Eurobodalla Branch of the Ulysess Club I thought I'd have some riding companions but after a while got jack of wait for the snails these days I go somewhere with any body I let know I ride at what ever pace I feel like and they either stay with me pass me or what ever but don't whinge if you think I am going to fast last year a bloke that has ridden to the island with me several times got the ****s cos I said I am not going to be forever slowing down for him.. he thought I was joking by the time I got to Pambula 200klm from home I stoped for fuel and lunch as usial I had finnished lunch when he pulled in 1/2 hour later..he was on a BMW K1200S(not the old flat four) without a trailer while I was towing one and I was never doing more than 120klm/h, I asked him if he had found top gear. needless to say I told him I was serious... He kept up with me after that but I sugested that maybe he should find someone else to cart his gear in future
 
Yep i just ride at my own pace if im to slow for ya go round me if im to fast for ya cya there
I dont mind the more experienced riders going ahead im not going to ride outside my ability just to keep up id rather get home at the end of it and see my little kids but on the same note i aint gonna ride slower for the straglers either i just go with the flow usually doesnt take long to sort out your position in the group as long as everyone has fun and makes it home alive im happy
 
Always ride right behind the members , at least i know they can ride. My theory is have someone that you know can ride in front and behind you.... then hope for the best. I've seen some of the worst riders on open Poker Runs . They usually Harley M.L.C types or women riders that get out once a month and never in a high speed , tight formation pack.. accidents waiting to happen.
 

hey big m, you might just let Viv from Urangan RMC in on the fact that we are planning a peaceful enthusiasts meet. i am certain they will be more than fine with our visit but a nice courtesy to inform any local MC of our intended visit and ensure they know we come in peace.

im a simple bloke who loves bikes but i hear some who live bikes have a certain protocol and letting them know is probably the right thing to do.

oh and given the recent local news i definitely would have that chat with the local lassies in blue skirts too.

p.s. hope quacks went well.
 
Do we have all details of the weekend all sorted as it would be a good idea to get a flyer together so as we can make this one a Big one , weather was great down here, got rid of all the Cobb webs, cant explain my excitement 680 k,s of Bliss..

had a bit of a chat with a few places and they would be happy to put a flyer up
 
Coppers at the Bay are ok , unless you are a clubbie. Only 1% club there now are Rebels and most of them in jail or on bail , wouldn't expect any problems from them mate

Local blokes have been having a blitz on all bikes for the last 2 weeks, especially if you ride a Harley or what they term a bike bike. I was told I could thanks the OMC fraternity for all the attention.

Smiled at told him I would do that just for him, asked him who would be the best person to speak too, and said I would pass on his best wishes as well. I was surprised when he called me a F smart arse, haven't been pulled up again for quite a while.
 

Mate just got to confirm venue, will let you know by the end of the week I hope.
