Bought my R3 (on ebay) and plane tickets for my wife and myself 11 months ago and rode it 1500 miles home. By far the BEST streetbike I've ever riden. There is no upgrade from here .
I've frequented this site several times to pick up advice (and others' errors) on upgrades. The most important thing this bike needs is an exhaust overhaul. I plan to cut/tack weld my own header (followed by professional welding) and choose a collector and two mufflers, one for each side.
Currently running triple Uni-Filters, no secondary butterflies, a 20050Dyno tune (I use TuneECU), and the WRONG aftermarket exhaust that came with the bike.

Thanks to all the good mechanics on this site for helping me iron out the issues this used -but very inexpensive- bike came with!!! This monster is getting better all the time
 
Couldn't see the pic but g'day and welcome from Downunder. What is the "wrong" exhaust?
 

and how does the 20050 tune works out for you, any popping on deceleration? I have not started my R3 yet but I have loaded that tune this winter and I do have the jardines and triple filters so close to your set up that i believe if it ok for you it should be ok for mine too.

Welcome to the site from the Chicago suburbs. Hope to meet you on some rides up north. Ones in August out of Gurnee I believe for a fallen soldger. A couple of us usually do that ride.
