Has anyone seen or used this. My cracked cluster is being replaced this week so wondering if this will prevent it happening again

no, it wont, its just the cosmetic cover/border which sits on top of the actual OEM cluster glass/around the cluster housing, this cosmetic housing part on OEM cluster is glued and can be taken off by hand (if you want and can be glued back.)

this is not connected to OEM cluster glass by any means.
