Its for the euro. headlight on/off switch that we dont get. The switch would mount in the blank space where the Triumph logo is.
I tried to get one from overseas and they would not sale it to me. I was going to use it for running lights before I found out that it would create a problem with the wiring harness.
You can open the switch housing (2 screws, bottom and top-rear) and push the plug into the half of the housing that holds the master cylinder. It fits just below the handlebar.
This is normally stuffed inside the right side switch housing. At least it is in mine. It is probably for the switch that isn't mounted in the blank space on the right switch.
I just took my throttle housing apart to install the ISO grips (awesome by the way) and I had the same connector inside, I assumed it was for the heated grips and that the blanked out switch is for them too.
It's for the euro headlights, the heated grips and aux lights don't have plastic connectors like that. Aux lights and grips have individual female blade connectors for fit on the back of toggle switches and don't come on the bike factory unless equipped or installed as a kit.

I had called Triumph about a year ago and asked. They told me what it was for and said that they could not send the switch to USA. So I emailed a dealer in the UK and he said about $150.00 before shipping. I just wanted the switch
