I have a 2005 Rocket I bought new it now has 50,000 miles on it. Since new it has had a recurring starting issue that seems to be getting more frequent. Every so often when I go to start it I push the starter button it engages the starter only breifly then kicks out.I have to cycle the gauges then hit the button again sometimes 2-3 times before the starter takes hold.

Here are the things that have already been done for one reason or another...New ignition switch, new starter.new starter switch, new starter relay.I have traced the wiring loom from the ignition switch back also from the starter switch to the relay with nothing revealing it self.

Anyone got any ideas....

How cold does it get in Alaska?

I'd check the battery first for sure,
just because...
You said you replaced everything but the loom and checked it,so..
I'd tear into the ignition switch and look inside...
Easy enough to do, and a likely candidate.

Also in the starting circuit is the clutch switch, side stand switch, gear position switch and kill switch.
After the battery check; check the heavy ground connection under the starter....Maybe swap the engine management relay with another( I think this relay gives power to the start relay)

It's unfortunate but intermittant problems are a problem in themselves sometime.

It would be a blessing if it quit all together as it might be easier to troubleshoot...Good Luck!!

while you are at it, pack the connectors with di-electric grease and make sure the pins engage properly. I'd check the lower electrical mounting lug on the starter. It has a rubber boot but it's down there in the road spray and corrodes causing high resistance and intermittent starter. grease it too.
