Am Seriously Considering Selling My Roadster and Getting.....

Is the leg position such as the floorboards are right below you or more forward so you can stretch. If they are right below its not gonna work because my Roadster pegs are right below and a hair back and I hate it.

the classic floor boards r about a foot forward of what u have and if i move my foot under the brake pedal i can just touch the toe of my boot the the front crash bar.

@Old N' Grumpy If the foot position is the biggest problem, just throw on some Classic boards swapping the whole foot control bar out. Moves the feet forward and it's a really easy conversion. Also gains you some extra ground clearance.

While our touring brother's absolutely have a great bike, they're a very different ride. Don't expect the feel of a Roadster with more confort, the Touring feels very different.

I always appreciate your input Rob. I am hoping that it rides better with the narrower rear tire...I like the look with the bags and tank console. Definitely need to try before I buy...thats for sure. Basically tho I would be swapping dollars too as I don't think I will have to add any money or very little. Now need to find someone fairly close with an R3T that will let me try. Either way the Roadster's going for some other touring bike.

I have heard the phrase before that the leg position on a R3T is like sitting on a chair. Legs are very in front of you and your feet are naturally parallel to the ground. It can be a little cramped for some as the boards are also quite high. This gives excellent cornering ability though, as good or better than any bike I've seen with floorboards. Yes, I suppose they do handle differently but I think both the T and the roadster handle pretty well. You should definitely find one to try just so you know the differences for yourself. I'm a bit far away or I would have you ride mine. Good luck
