AM DONE

Back to motorcycle stuff. Been reading up a lot on the Venture. Seems like they have had some issues with the 2018 model. Manufacturing problems with the heads. Might be why no 2019 models where offered in the states. Apparently the 2020 problems have no issues. Called the Shawnee dealership today and they approved my loan on a 2020 at $26,999 dollars rather quickly. No trade in or down payment required. Yes for reasons that go well beyond common sense will keep the X. Call it a soft spot. Really like the Venture for what it is. Kind of unique bike that is very functional and has no real market in the real world. Harley riders call it a cheap imitation. Indian riders say a poor mans Harley. Purest touring riders just snub there noses. I really kind of like the idea of a five year warranty with no mileage limitations. Boy is Yamaha stupid or what Gonna be a sweet ride during the winter. Heated grips that really work. Heated seat that really works. Even the passenger and backrest is heated. Like she is ever going to ride when it is cold. All the toys like traction control and different riding modes. Took a test ride last week and enjoyed it. Smooth. Not much on the top end but low end torque is impressive. Bikes suspension is beyond words. Even comes with a nice headlight system. Since on that subject the day-makers had nothing to due with my electrical problems. Riding the bike yearly might have though. Not waterproof. Guess Yamaha will find out if their bikes are waterproof or not
