I'm working on some mods for my '08 Touring and loved a couple cafe-racer style builds I saw. They did a full airbox delete so you can see right through the middle of the bike - classy. All that being said, I have removed all the middle components and now face a dilemma on where to mount my equipment. Specifically, the MAP sensor and the ECU bracket. Given the MAP was just in the airbox with no other connections and the plenum and other air components had already been moved, I know the MAP likely wasn't getting a proper reading. I plan on getting the Ramair filter for my intakes, but that still leaves the question of what to do with the MAP.

Can anyone who's done these deletes offer some advice? Or even if you haven't.

As far as I understood, the hole in the Ramair is to mount the IAT

But the sensor I need to mount is what I believe is the MAP sensor, which was attached to the airbox all on its lonesome; below

You are correct i got confused, the pressure sensor ties into the throttle body tube, 3 hoses come to a t from throttle bodys and the hose coming out goes to that sensor, under neath is a single nipple, plug in there, the side youre looking at just keep open to air, tie off out of the way under tank right side on or by electrical harness.

Ait sensor plugged into a ramair, throttle bodies with lines going to a mounted pressure (map) sensor, these lines coming from each throttle body are of certain lengths and believed to matter so just stay stock on lines, when you remove all the air box you will see single tube coming from t or junction, plug map sensor there. These are some of the ways ive done it.

Alright, coming back to correct my own ignorance - funny bit of engineering on Triumph's end as the Rocket (maybe just the Touring? not sure) has two MAP sensors. The one up by the throttles is the absolute pressure sensor, and the one surface-mounted to the airbox under the seat is the ambient pressure sensor, which was leading to my confusion.

Appreciate the help, @Kevin frazier !
