I was thinking on getting rid of the smaler visible pipes inside the exhaust tips, using only the bigger ones would create a bigger rumble and create a meaner look while keeping it original until you look closer, I will probably start in 2 weeks as the bike is my daily ride to work

This engine is 2.5 litres. A simple small volume slip on may be noisier but it will reduce power not increase it. I have cut the cat box and left can off mine and opened up the two outlets to 2.5 inch, it sounds good but even remapping with a Powercommander Five I can only equal the original power. The biggest restriction is the 44mm outlet of the headers, I will be increasing this to 2 inch to help reduced the back pressure . But as much as I love the looks of the stock exhaust and it will take a lot to beat I fear I will end up making big bore headers as well to get any NA power increase.
This past weekend I decided to pull my exhaust. Unfortunately I took no pictures...... but I cut open the big black box to look around. I found a maze of tubes . I wanted some more bite to my exhaust. I did not want to pull whole thing apart at the moment. (Warranty) I ended cutting out the cat inside the box to eliminate half of the maze of tubing and some restrictions. It ended up sounding better(could be more) but I definitely am happy I did so. I also noticed right away more seat of the pants power! Once I cut it out I welded piece back in smoothed it out and repainted it. You can't even tell i was in there!
Here is a very crude drawing of the exhaust system layout. Green being pipes and red exhaust flow.

Did you leave the pea shooter exit pipes? I cut mine out to the diameter of the big pipe, about 63mm. You can hear the bark on my video, its pretty acceptable still, not to loud while riding. I had to do a lot of fuel remapping and ignition changes to get the best out of it.

I did not yet. I was seeing what happens with the changes while still appearing stock. I was really excited about the competition werkes exhaust but the 1k+ price tag in my opinion is expensive. Considering also all their other slip on's are $549. I can only assume the price reflects the fact that there is no competition.

Richard: Would you consider a pipe from the headers leading to a chamber, kinda like a wee car silencer with three outlets into these (pictured below) doable or an excercise in futility?
EDIT: I don't really care if it doesn't add power. My main concern is looks weight and sound (and of course i wouldn't want it to *lose* power..
