Adding L.E.D. Brake / Turn lights to hard bags..

Anyone add lights to their hard bags?

I bought these for the trailer I am putting together to tow behind the bike, but decided not to use them. Now I have the idea of adding them as extra light to the back of the bike...
I will add plugs so I can still remove the bags....
Any words of wisdom before I drill 2 1/2" holes in the bags??

Seal the lights in with silicone or something similar -for waterproofing

Use a holesaw and keep the bits you cut out..... for Ron.....

I did a test cut with a hole saw, made sure things will fit properly... .. I should know better than to ask but..... keep the bits you cut out... for Ron ?

I got the lights mounted, will take some pictures when it quits snowing.... and I saved the bits for Ron....

I think I'll keep the tiny amount of space left in them for luggage, they're already too small.
