About to go Dark Side for first time

A little late now to mention but you should be aware of the UTQG rating. The higher the number the harder the tread compound. For the purposes of running darkside, you want that number to be as low as possible.

The Riken Raptor ZR that many of us use has a rating of 300. My first one lasted 29,000 miles.

The Yoko that y'all are discussing has a rating of 560. That's an awfully hard tire.

I just took the Avid Envigor out for a short ride.
Turn in is very smooth.

I run a rear tire on the front, a Michelin pilot road 4, 150/70 17
which eliminates the dark side countersteer effort.

To the point about wear ratings:
Tire feels fine but who knows. Perhaps cold weather will make it slip and slide.

By the way, it is W rated, good for 146 mph. according to the Tire Rack page

I finally had my Yokohama installed today.... I only have ridden it about 10 miles so far but I think I'm used to it already, the main difference I can tell I slow speed maneuvering, it's kinda weird how it stands the bike straight up..lol...Highway feels good, so far I think I've made a great decision to join THE DARK SIDE!!!

Picture please - From front - I'd like to see how pinched a fit it is.
And yes I'm pretty sure it will be slightly as it's designed for a 4.24" rim .

But the Azaro is starting to show signs of wear.
