Whatever you guys get make sure is z rated since the Rocket is capabe of more than 92 mph, if i remember right the z rates for over 130 mph, correct me if im wrong
I'm ready, the evil forces have beckoned me.... I'm about to order my tire, I'm looking at the General G-MAX A/S 03 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...R6GMAS03&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes) Has anyone tried it, correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that 225/55 is the best size to go with.....ANY AND ALL INPUT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
That is the exact tire I am running on my R3Std. Works well. I can't discern any counter steer, but I am used to it. The G in
GMAX is not the rating. It is a W good for 168mph
Alright JRock, you talked me into the Yokohama, I liked the way the shoulders looked on the Avid. I talked to guy that has mounted my MC tires and he said he has done CT in the past and will do mine when I get the tire next week....I'm very excited to be a memberof the dark side!!
I'm on an R3T. 205/55-16. I found a 60 profile Goodyear Triple tread allowed the tire to rub up under fender before bike bottomed out. It was same as stock circumference, but 8 inch wide tire would rub taillight wires. A 55 profile is also the tallest a runflat will go and I used to run those as well.
@slidderhd theres a new dealer in mobile. Rosie's. It's triumph and Indian only. My wife is thinking about a scout, which would leave the streety all to me for "get low" days

I hope the tire works ok for me, as well ;-)
For what it's worth, when I rock the unmounted Avid side to side, it does so easily, and rolls right over onto the round shoulder.
I had read a positive review of Avid Envigor on an Adventure bike (that crowd use DS alot for long trips on rough roads).
You shouldn't use square tires on a motorcycle. You may be chasing a sport bike on a curvy road and there is no way you can lean and drag pegs around those curves to keep up. OK maybe I lied!
My tire arrived yesterday, I've never ordered from Tire Rack before but I ordered it on Friday and got it on Tuesday.... I like the way the tire looks, I will get it mounted next week!
