A "New to Me" Corbin Seat

Rick

That is a steal on the seat......Hummmm.......You might need welding gloves to handle that seat....LOL

I have a Corbin on the Beemer and it is as hard as a brick....But I can ride all day in that seat.

Yep.....you better send the money before he changes his mind...

Hard as a brick, indeed, even after 40'000 miles. And too angular on the sides. Not the best saddle IMO. Certainly not the most ergonomic. But it looks good and the price you've been quoted softens it all.

Great price Rick!

My friend Jack has a heated Corbin on his '05 Standard and it is very nice. More comfortable than the one on his Drifter.

My previous owner offered me one, but I don't care for the studded look. I'll be having a local guy re-work mine in leather over the winter.

For all you Corbin fans out there. I'm glad you all enjoy your seats, but I'll never give that company one dollar of my hard earned money. Last year I ordered a Young Guns seat from Corbin over the phone. I gave them all my information including my credit card number. I was told it would be six weeks before the seat shipped out and I get an e-mail notice that my seat had shipped. After twelve weeks I gave up. They never charged me for the seat, but I never heard from them either. I'm having a local upholster who does good work modify my stock seat to suite me.

I've gone the local upholstery route and don't like it. My seat was "cut down" and a gel insert put in. Sounded great, but I will still have to use my Airhawk on longer rides. We put on ~ 200 miles yesterday an my butt was beginning to give signs of fatigue. The Corbin may be my next attempt at a more comfy saddle...either that or just break down and go the Russel Day Long route.

Had some general running around to do today.

About 60 miles on the Corbin with no issues; it felt like sitting on a park bench, but comfortable.

Since having the Corbin my Airhawk's is sitting on the shelve, I took it with me on the first longish trip .. it never got to see daylight I have the "heated dual tour Corbin" because I had heard it helps if you are suffering from arthritis in the hips as I do and it is amazing the difference a little heat makes but more to point the the corbin just cradles you and you dont need to be wiggling to relieve the pressure points as you do on a std or gel triumph seat
