3" pullback risers

I bought 10" mini-aps and started the install tonight to realize the brake line is way to short. I removed the 3" pullback risers and installed the original risers hoping the brake line might reach, no luck..still to short. I thought I would see how the original risers would be with the old handlebars….Waa-Laa now everything is farther away like I was looking for. I'm 6'3" tall 225 lbs and the pullback was to much, while making a sharp turn my elbow would be to my ribs. Funny how the solution is right in front of us but we can't see it!! Mini-apes are going back.

Yes sometimes you just need to spend money to find out you didn't need to.

I had mini apes on my HD street bob. I really liked them. It was a natural position for my hands and I never got the 'numb' hands while riding. I'm 5'9" at 180 so that might have been the reason why it was so comfortable. I think they look cool also.
