The oil leak may not in fact be an oil leak but rather electrical grease left over after the initial clean down from manufacture. When it heats up, it turns oily and runs down...it will be blackish in color. If it's oil, it will continue to run and pool under your bike. Clean the area with white spirits and blow clean with an air gun and monitor the leak area. My bike did it too.

The bearclaw can make a weird rattling noise if the bolts are loose. Put your knee against it and see if it's still making the noise.

You sir were right on the money! I started playing with the claw and it appears the front bolt and hanger are the problem. They are allowing the claw to vibrate against the tank seam.

Gonna put a rubber grommet there if I can find one.
