2020 Rocket 3 Roadster ride...Tal

I knew someone would find my bike, what shop is that at?
Engle motors in KC MO. Sat on both the R & GT. GT felt best, but both were ideal for my 30" inseam. They also reminded me of the adjustability of the foot pegs. They had such a sweet exhaust sound that I felt things move.

Great write up @Tal - my thoughts exactly - i did say to the dealer that I might just buy a set of GT bars for the TFC when I pick it up (Its at the dealership now).

I heard a day or two ago from Graeme that yours was at the shop!

Coming from a guy who found out he had cancer in 2018 I don't count on being around for next years model. Live like there's no tomorrow because there might not be.
I hear you. I’ll be 72 or 73 for the next year’s model. I may not even be able to handle my T120. About the dealer, they also sell Ducati, MV. Aprilla, Royal Enfield and others. Their reviews are mixed to put it mildly. I would not want to have a problem with a new Triumph model.

PS - The dealer said they wouldn’t have one on the showroom floor until February and I would bet they won’t have a demo.

My initial feeling was the bike felt small, but after maybe 10mins riding i put this down to a number of differences.
My bike has a more upright sitting position with flyscreen in front of me...its bulkier to ride...eg heavier particularly in the front end..
The new bike is very nimble and light to control...the power soon reminds you to 'TAKE IT EASY MAN!...YOU ARE IN A 50kph AREA!!!'..its very easy to twist the throttle and go from 50 to 100 in a blip!.
The seating is super comfy...the finish is spot on.
Bumps in the road were soaked up even tho i didnt hit any big ones.
So, no...i didnt feel it was over priced....after all its not a 'Rocket' as we know it...its a completely different bike...
it has many ride modes...so you select one and the tune changes to suit..cornering ABS...etc.
I'm counting my pennies as we speak..

Speaking of small I had to sit on a bobber while in the dealer and WOW I thought I was on one of those pocket bikes! Being on a Rocket for so long has really changed my perception of size. LOL

Thank you for your efforts to enlighten us all, nicely written and very well presented. It helps to remind us that this IS a different bike altogether and any comparisons will not really be accurate. Well done young man!!

...thanx...i think!...young man!??...i'll be 71 in july!...but i'm feeling bloody good!..
Steph has got me swinging a golf club again...i have just upgraded my golf clubs and have been smashing some drives at the range!!..my body feels better for it and is more flexible now i have twisted and bent and walked more.
I hear what our friend has said about him having cancer and that we dont know how long we will be around...its true isnt it?...we sometimes are too conservative and before we know it we are wondering why we were...
When i was riding that nice new bike...it was a moment in my life i will treasure...i dont think Brad new how much it gave me spiritually if thats not too corny... but i felt very privileged and lucky to be able to be doing it.
An asian guy and his wife nearly stepped off the footpath oogling at the bike as i slowly idled by...its a very special machine.
I am considering moving into a GT and mums on my side somewhat ...afterall i just spent 25k on her new car...so my bargaining power just went up.
