Nice bit of road as well Nyngan to Bourke The Gun Barrel Highway 204 Klms of dead straight road you could open up the taps on the Bikes out there except for dodging Roos, goats and a few pigs as well,

Isn't anywhere a 1000km from Brisbane a good spot?
Awww come on mate!!! Brissy is a great place to live and close to some of the best beaches in the world and mostly free flowing traffic - although this is getting worse.
It to mention some pretty good twisty mountains in our back yard

I forget the name of the pub 50k before Bourke, the only time the bar is closed is between 6am and 7am when the cook mucks out the kitchen bar area .... its on the only bend, can't miss it really. remember that Bourke is the largest inland Maritime court in Australia and also has the highest per capita constabulary. Easy place to get done for low flying if you haven't got a CB radio going.

That pub would be the Mulga Creek Hotel at Byrock.
I called in out there for a beer when I still had my Victory.

Time to get it rolling.
I suggested Nyngan as its off the coast, within reach of SA, VIC, Qld (with a stretch) and NSW. Good caravan park with cabins, BYO grog - the consensus was not to have to buy $6 Schooners. Its also far enough out of town to dissuade the locals. I have stayed there with a bunch of ?150 on a black dog ride a couple of years ago. They also had a pretty good BBQ shed.
I cant see myself getting out there until may as I have a bit of travelling in the next couple of months. (Pt. Macquarie for a drink on sat week and a weeks loop around Warwick, Roma & Carnarvon Gorge out from and back to Brisbane - doing men's health stuff in April).
I'm perfectly open to any other suggestions .... after all I'll just go anywhere.
