2014 R3 Touring

Just picked up a new to me bike, my first Triumph, the Rocket 3 Touring. Everything stock.
It's a 2014 with less than 500 miles on the clock. Cheap price, couldn't resist. Rode it 15 miles home.
Should I be pleased, or frightened?
Tires original and need to be changed. Will change fluids.
Anything else in particular to look at right away?
