It was announced over here last Fall. And displayed at the recent Milano show. Nuttin' new compared to a regular T'Bird, except the 1700cc "kit" installed ex-factory, dual headlamps and black paint copiously smeared all over it.
I, for one, continue to prefer "real" colors and chrome. Best. Jamie

As Jamie says, the only difference between it and a regular 1700 T-Bird is it's blacked out and they replaced the single headlight with duals. It's been on the Triumph website for a few months now. I like it, but prefer my regular T-Bird. Triumph, IMO, did a wonderful and tasteful job of adding just enough chrome to the Bird, unlike Harley which seems to go over the top with it on some of their models. I can clean and polish the bird in about an hour. My last Harley took about 4 hours to clean and polish. That's too **** long. That's 3 extra hours I could be riding.

I threw around the idea of the Storm for a little bit as I like the twin headlight look and have had previousl issues with "some" of the Triumph chrome...buuuuuut, decided I didn't want the slow color and got the combo Phantom Red Haze with a "tasteful" black blended in accent to get a pretty striking color. I am fixing to post the pics that Daryl sent me in my album so I'll have them for show finally and now I know what "my" bike looks like...thanks again Daryl.

You do know that the base paint on your bike is the fast color (black), don't you? Triumph had to install the big bore kit due to the added drag that slow red paint brings to the table.

If I buy another, it'll be a Thruxton. Life would be good if I could swing a third bike. Ain't going to happen, however. I could swing the money. But, I've nowhere to put a third bike and the maintenance on two bikes is PITA enough, I sure don't want to add a 3rd to the mix.
