Hoping a sympathetic soul will help me out as I'm getting myself very confused searching the internet for a clear answer
I'm looking to upgrade the stock front and rear suspension on my 2007 R3 Classic but am very new to replacing stock parts
Searching around, I think the 412 Progressive rear shocks would fit but then people start talking about different 4xx versions, using different lengths than stock, different brands, etc etc
Not looking to spend a huge amount of money. I'm not a rider pushing things to the limit, just want a comfortable, sure ride with some new chrome shocks not rusted like my current ones are
The progressive shocks are some of the best. Very affordable. Get them if you need new ones or upgrading. The difference is length I think. They have a fitment chart
Don't waist your money on the 412. Most who tried them hated them. Go with the the 444 or the 430. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Some go taller at 13 inches, some go shorter at 12 inches. If your stock length of 12.5 is good for you, I recommend keeping it. For the front get a set of Progressive front springs and change the fork oil to 7,5 weight. This does make a big improvement.

I have the 412's on my cb650sc nighthawk and they are awesome but that's a 400 lb motorcycle. They would be terrible on a rocket.
444 seem to be perfect range.

Shocks settup for harley will not fit without an eyelet change which is easy. I do not recommend heavy duty unless youre heavy duty when you roll out. They will be sprung heavy, too heavy more than likely.
